Unigames – Day 5

Men’s Basketball
The Blue Eagles are two games away from another championship at the 15th Unigames in Dumaguete City. Ateneo beat West Negros University in the quarter finals of men’s basketball. Nico Salva led the team with 16 points. Juami Tiongson scored 12 big points from the three point line. The Eagles will face the NU Bulldogs in the semi-finals.

Softball
Ateneo lost to Adamson 12-3 in five innings. Adamson started the first inning with five runs, while Ateneo rallied in the third inning via two home runs by Amanda La O’ to cut Ateneo’s lead. Pitchers La O’ and Regina Yulo gave up eight hits and struck out two batters while Adamson’s pitcher gave up two hits and struck out seven batters.

Tennis
Ateneo finished second in men’s and women’s tennis in day five of the Unigames. Both teams went up against unbeaten squads who had the twice to beat advantage. The ladies lost two matches against DLSU; likewise the men’s team lost to CSB in two matches.
