Unigames – Day 2

In day two of the 15th Unigames in Dumaguete City, the Ateneo Blue Eagles defeated the University of Northern Philippines Sharks, 88-60. Ateneo set the tempo of the game with Nico Salva and Juami Tiongson leading the team with 10 points each. The Eagles banked on good ball movement, and had 18 assists in the game.

The lawn tennis teams won their opening matches on Monday. The women’s team went up against host Silliman University and swept all three games. Michelle Pang and Joan Opulencia outclassed their opponents 6-2, 6-0. The men’s team also opened with three wins versus University of St. La Salle.

In women’s football, Ateneo had control of the game against Foundation University but failed to score. The game ended in a draw at zero all.

The Blue Spikers fought with their lives but were outmuscled by Foundation University. The men’s volleyball team lost their second game of the tournament, 0-3. Ateneo extended the first set fighting for the win but went down 26-28.
